What You’ll Do
Analyze transaction, savings, and loan data from our core banking system to identify trends and boost SACCO performance (e.g., 25% higher customer retention).
Build dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau or Power BI to empower SACCOs with real-time insights for decision-making.
Collaborate with product and operations teams to refine features like agent banking and USSD, using data to enhance user adoption.
Monitor platform KPIs, detecting anomalies to minimize fraud and ensure compliance with Bank of Uganda standards.
Support expansion into Kenya and Tanzania by modeling market opportunities in the $50B African fintech space.
Translate rural user feedback into actionable metrics, bridging field insights with tech solutions.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years in data analysis, preferably in fintech, banking, or microfinance sectors.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation; experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
Strong analytical mindset with a knack for translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.
Resilience to handle messy datasets from low-tech environments and creativity to find solutions.
Passion for social impact, with an interest in empowering rural communities like those in Gulu and Mbale.
Bonus: Knowledge of SACCO operations or African market dynamics.
